Rust was discovered on measuring tape blades during a pre-shipment inspection. Long-term cooperation does not mean that problems will never occur.
This was one of the issues found during a pre-shipment inspection.
We have worked with this supplier for many years, and full containers are shipped almost every month. The cooperation has always been stable, which is why finding rust on the tape blades in this order was so unexpected.
Although the tape measures still functioned, rust on a new product is not acceptable. If rust is already visible before shipment, what condition will the products be in after several weeks at sea?
As the buyer’s sourcing partner, my responsibility is not simply to record the defect or blame the factory. We are now working with the supplier to investigate what changed in this production batch.
Long-term cooperation does not mean that problems will never occur. What matters is how openly and responsibly everyone responds when they do.
